The Shariah Committee of Kuwait Finance House (Malaysia) Berhad reviews transactions, contracts, products and applications relating to KFH Malaysia, in order to ensure strict compliance with Shariah rules and principles through specific rulings and guidelines issued by the Committee.

Sheikh Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abdul Razaq Al-Tabtabae

Sheikh Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdul Razaq Al-Tabtabae is the former Dean, Faculty of Shariah and Islamic Studies, Kuwait University. He is a member of the Shariah Board of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Zakat House, A'ayan Leasing and Investment Company and several other Islamic Financial Institutions. He was formerly a professor at the Kuwait Institute of Judiciary Studies. Dr. Mohammad received his Bachelor and Master of Shariah and subsequently obtained a Ph.D from the Imam Mohammed ibn Saud Islamic University, Saudi Arabia.

Sheikh Dr. Anwar Shuaib Abdulsalam

Sheikh Dr. Anwar Shuaib Abdulsalam is an Associate Professor and the Head of Department for Islamic Jurisprudence and Usul Fiqh, in the Faculty of Shariah and Islamic Studies at Kuwait University. He also served as a Director of the Research Centre in the faculty. Dr. Anwar is a member of various Shariah Boards including First Takaful Insurance Co in Kuwait, Kuwait Turkey Finance House and the International Ijarah and Investment Co. In 2005, he was made a member of the Jurisprudence Encyclopedia for the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs. After obtaining his Bachelor degree in Shariah from the Kuwait University, he furthered his studies and received a Master and Ph.D from Al-Azhar University, Egypt.

Sheikh Dr. Adnan Ali Ibrahim Al-Mulla

Sheikh Dr. Adnan Ali Al-Mulla is the Head of Research, Development and Secretariat, Shariah Division, Kuwait Finance House, Kuwait. He also serves as a member of the Fatwa and Shariah Supervisory Board of Ijarah House Holding Company in Kuwait. In 1989, he was appointed as Imam and Khatib by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Kuwait. Dr. Adnan is also a trainer in the field of Islamic Commercial Law (Muamalat) at Kuwait Finance House and Human Investment Company. He holds a Bachelor of Shariah from the Kuwait University, Master and Ph.D in Islamic Law of Transactions from Cairo University, Egypt.

Sheikh Isa Abdulla Yusuf Dowaishan

Sheikh Isa is the Head of Shariah Department, Kuwait Finance House ¿ Bahrain. He is a member of the Shariah Scholar Association as well as registered as a Professional Accountant in the Courts of Bahrain. He holds certificates as Certified Shariah Advisor and Auditor (CSAA) and Chartered Accountant Arabic (ACBA). He was a former Acting Head of Legal Affairs and Registration of Awqaf Property and also a former officer of Bahrain Monetary Agency. Sheikh Isa graduated from University of Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University with a Bachelor in Shariah and Islamic Studies, majoring in Accounting. He holds a Master of Science in Finance and Banking, majoring in Islamic Banking (First Class) from Arab Academy for Banking and Financial Sciences, Jordan.

Dr. Engku Muhammad Tajuddin bin Engku Ali

Dr. Engku is the Deputy Dean for Faculty of Islamic Contemporary Studies, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA). He is also a member of the Shariah Committee, Department of Finance & Banking, Faculty of Business Management and Accounting, UniSZA. He had previously served as a lecturer at the School of Islamic Studies at Kolej Ugama Sultan Zainal Abidin (KUSZA) for over 15 years. Dr. Engku holds a Bachelor of Shariah from Al-Azhar University, Egypt, and a Master and Ph.D in Comparative Laws from International Islamic University Malaysia.
