The annual fee will take effect on 18 March 2020, whereby the Bank will reinstate the Annual Fee and the minimum balance which a customer shall retain in his or her account is RM22.00.
Q2. Did you charge the Annual Fee previously?
Yes, the Bank imposed the annual fee charges when it first introduced the Debit Card-i. It has since waived the Annual Fee until now.
Q3. Is the annual fee applicable to ALL Cardmembers?
Yes, the annual fee is applicable to all NEW and EXISTING Cardmembers. For Year 2020, the annual fee is effective 18 March for EXISTING Cardmembers. On the subsequent years, the annual fee will take place in March.
Q4. What is the difference between new and existing cardmembers?
New cardmembers: those who have received their Debit Card-i on or after 19 March 2019
Existing cardmembers: those who have possessed their Debit Card-i since 18 March 2019 or before
Q5. Will you charge the Annual Fee if my card is issued less than a year, i.e. customers who received their Card(s) on 19 March 2019 onwards?
No, the Annual Fee will not be charged for cards under one (1) year. The first fee will only be imposed in March 2021.
Q6. I received my Card in 2020 (under 1 year), will I still be charged the Annual Fee?
No, you will not be charged the mandatory annual fee – you will only be charged the following year, i.e. in March 2021, on a yearly basis.
Q7. How much is the Annual Fee?
The Annual Fee is RM12 for Principal card and RM10 for Supplementary card.
Q8. From which account will it be charged and when?
The Bank will debiting the primary account or any other account with available funds that is linked to your card on 18 March 2020 for EXISTING cardmembers.
Q9. When will the next cycle be for annual fee charges?
The annual fee will be charged in March 2021 and the subsequent years. This is applicable for EXISTING cardmembers.
Q10. What will happen if I only retain the balance to pay the Financing in my account?
You are advised to retain a minimum of RM22 (if you only have a Principal card) or RM32 (if you have both Principal and Supplementary cards) in your account prior to the date mentioned to avoid any service disruption on your financing repayment. The Bank requires a minimum of RM10 in the cardmember’s account at all times.
Q11. If I have not used the Card and only have the financing facility with your Bank, will I still charge the Annual Fee?
Yes, we will still charge the Annual Fee even if the card has not been used.
Q12. What will happen if I cancel my card?
Cancelling the card will affect your KFH Online services, i.e. reset username, password, etc.
Q13. What if I lost my card? Will there be a replacement fee?
If you lost your card, there will be a replacement fee of RM15.00 for principal and RM10.00 for supplementary card.
