KFHMB has won in the Special League Achievement Award category from RAM Rating Services Berhad in recognition of the Bank's achievement outstanding feat in the RAM League Table, as measured by number of deals, value of deals closed and market share. The other four categories contested were the RAM League Manager Award, the Blueprint Award, the Special Merit Award and the Industry Recognition Award.
The RAM League Awards epitomise the ultimate recognition of accomplishments and leadership in the Malaysian bond market. Accorded to exceptional institutions which have broken away from the pack and created standards that have further advanced the domestic bond market, the Awards depict the industry benchmark for excellence and ingenuity ¿ a symbol of "Malaysia's Best".
Unique to the country's financial market, the RAM League Award is the only form of national recognition that honours and pays tribute to the industry's innovative thinkers and forerunners and was first introduced in 2004.
"We are indeed gratified with this new achievement. It demonstrates the significance of the new window of opportunities in offering unique products for both corporates and individuals that has been unlocked by KFH," commented Dato' Salman K. Younis, the Managing Director of KFHMB. "As for Islamic bonds, being backed by real assets, they are becoming a vital financing tool for investors. This new and unique financing method has created a key source of funds for projects and expansions," he added.
According to Mr. C Rajandram, Executive Deputy Chairman of RAM Ratings, the event is a small gesture of thanks to express RAM Ratings' deep appreciation for the support from Dato' Salman Younis, the Managing Director of KFHMB, since the incorporation of the ratings agency. "Our achievements as the country's leading rating agency would not have been possible without the assistance from an institution like KFH," he said in his letter to Dato' Salman in conjunction with the Awards.
