Kuwait, 3 September 2009 - Kuwait Finance House (KFH) has embarked on yet another CSR initiative, whereby the Bank will distribute one million copies of an English translation of the Holy Quran. The translation by Ahmad Hamad, will be distributed within Kuwait as well to a few other nations around the world. This activity marks the second for the Bank, as last year KFH distributed copies of the Holy Quran in the United States of America. In addition, in conjunction with the Holy month of Ramadan, KFH also hosts an annual Ramadan breakfast for Muslims in numerous countries.
Fahad Al-Mukhaizeem, Manager, Marketing, Public Relations and Strategic Planning said, “This contribution is the most valuable gift KFH can offer to the non-Arab Muslims around the world.” He added, “KFH's contribution comes as part of a project adopted by the former Awqaf Minister Dr. Abdullah Al-Maatouq, which aims to distribute an officially approved English translation of the Holy Quran, so that Muslims and others who are interested in learning the meanings of the Holy Quran can benefit from it.”
Al-Mukhaizeem added, “KFH has also supported the Kuwaiti Zakat House project, in offering breakfast for Muslims in several countries. This project cements cooperation amongst the Muslims around the world.” He further commented on the support rendered to the Kuwaiti Aids Committee in Somalia, where it plays a prominent role in helping thousands of Somalis.
