Kuwait, 17 June 2009 - Kuwait Finance House (KFH) announced the release of a new postal stamp titled "The World… is Your Home” which has been made available earlier this month at all the Ministry of Communication post offices in the State of Kuwait. This measure has been employed by KFH to reinforce its strategy on global expansion – an objective the Bank aims to achieve via its various activities including that of its banking, investment, real estate and commercial divisions.
Mr. Fahad Khaled Al-Mukhaizeem, Manager, Marketing & Public Relations at KFH said, “The title of the stamps embodies the Bank’s vision for a ‘Global KFH’. He added, “KFH has successfully established operations across five continents and has been acclaimed the "Harvard" for Islamic banks. As a result of our regional and global successes, governments from all over the world have welcomed the Bank to establish operations in their markets.”
He further commented on the expansion of the Bank and said, “KFH aims to act as a bridge between various cultures and countries, as well as reinforce mutual interests and economic cooperation amongst nations, via actively participating in their development plans.” He also said, “The postal stamp, which is a way for us to reach out to nations beyond our current jurisdictions has been released in all basic denominations i.e. 25 Fils for local post, 50 Fils for Middle Eastern countries and 150 Fils for international mail. Designed by Mr. Ahmed Al-Rashed, Artistic Creativity Supervisor at KFH, the stamp is printed in the best post press worldwide – Cartor Security Printing, to ensure the highest quality.”
Mr. Al-Mukhaizeem, highlighted how the move is part of KFH’s efforts to support the public services sector – a tradition that has seen KFH support the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Interior, and Ministry of Education, in the past. He added how the predominant section of the society in Kuwait are customers of KFH, who through this initiative, will feel a sense of pride, to be associated with an organisation that actively contributes to the community. The move will also encourage stamp collectors globally to recognise the efforts of corporate citizens of the city state.
