Kuala Lumpur, 30 August 2010 – Kuwait Finance House (Malaysia) Berhad (KFHMB) has contributed a total of 12 dialysis machines to various dialysis centres across Malaysia. The most recent donations were made to Pusat Dialisis MAIS, the dialysis centre run by Majlis Agama Islam Selangor (MAIS). Two machines were presented by Puan Jamelah Jamaluddin, Chief Executive Officer, KFHMB at the handover ceremony held at the Dialysis Centre in Taman Melawati on 5 August 2010.
In a separate occasion, Puan Jamelah also presented donations to three selected orphanages in Ipoh. These were Asrama Anak-Anak Yatim Dan Miskin Yayasan Hikmah, Pusat Jagaan Anak-Anak Yatim Dan Miskin, Pertubuhan Baitul Aini and Pusat Jagaan Anak-Anak Yatim Dan Miskin Nurul Iman. The children and advisers from the three homes attended the handover ceremony which took place during the KFHMB Treasure Hunt dinner held in Ipoh, Perak on 8 August 2010.
“We are always passionate about contributing to the society and we aim to increase our efforts in helping the underprivileged,” said Puan Jamelah. KFHMB is emulating the initiatives of its parent company, Kuwait Finance House, Kuwait, which is always at the forefront of providing assistance for those in need.
Over the last five years, as a socially responsible corporate body, KFHMB has undertaken various CSR initiatives involving underprivileged communities, school landscaping and medical assistance. KFHMB strives to be a driving force to make a positive difference in the lives of the community it serves.
