Kuala Lumpur, 15 July 2010 – Kuwait Finance House (Malaysia) Berhad (KFHMB), the first foreign Islamic bank in the country, has launched the Gold Discovery campaign today. The nationwide deposit campaign runs until 31 October 2010. The grand prize winner will receive a KFH-Gold Account-i with a deposit value of one kilogram of gold. 10 lucky winners will each receive a KFH-Gold Account-i with a deposit value of 10 gram of gold each month.
New and existing customers are entitled to one lucky draw entry with every RM3,000 deposit made in KFH-Gold Account-i or with every RM3,000 average balance in any of KFHMB current account or savings account. Eligible customers can participate by filling up the Gold Discovery Contest form and answering a question correctly. To be eligible for the grand prize draw, customers must maintain at least a RM3,000 balance in KFH-Gold Account-i, Current Account or Savings Account as at 31 October 2010. Every customer is entitled to one monthly prize.
Explaining the initiative, Puan Jamelah Jamaluddin, Chief Executive Officer of KFHMB said, “With the Gold Discovery campaign, we aim to reward existing customers and gain new ones. We also hope to create awareness of the KFH Gold Account-i. Gold is a precious commodity that enjoys an affinity with Islamic banking and presents an opportunity for capital gain if the price appreciates.”
Recently, KFHMB introduced the KFH Gold Account-i, a new deposit product which enables customers to buy gold in a convenient and secure way, without having to keep the gold physically themselves. This is a statement-based account, which gives additional convenience to customers to transact without the need to carry or update a passbook.
The contest registration forms are available at the Bank’s Branches located at Bayan Lepas, Penang; Taman Molek, Johor Bahru; Jalan Satok, Kuching; Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur; Jalan Pinang, Kuala Lumpur, Batu Unjur, Klang and Shah Alam, Selangor.
