Kuala Lumpur, 23 August 2010 – Kuwait Finance House (Malaysia) Berhad (KFHMB), the first foreign Islamic bank in the country, has launched its brand awareness campaign on the Kelana Jaya Line LRT, where KFHMB has sponsored one of the new four-car trains. The initiative is to commemorate the Merdeka month and the Bank’s Fifth Anniversary.
Designed in the Bank’s distinct corporate green, the tagline of ‘The Symbol of Islamic Banking - Security and Peace of Mind’ featured on the body of the train reinforces KFHMB’s commitment to develop the Islamic banking industry in the country. It complements the messages in the interiors of the train, which has featured some of the Bank’s retail products since March 2010.
Commenting on the effort, Dato’ Ahmad Zaki Razak, Head of Support and Transaction Processing Division, KFHMB, said, “In conjunction with KFHMB’s Fifth Anniversary, we aim to further increase the visibility of the KFHMB brand amongst consumers and the general public. Our plan is to further grow the Bank’s retail business to complement our present business offerings.” Dato’ Ahmad Zaki delivered the speech on behalf of Puan Jamelah Jamaluddin, Chief Executive Officer, KFHMB.
The four-car train has a capacity of 800 passengers. These four-car trains are equipped with universal access features like special area for wheelchair-bound passengers, alarm lights at doors for the hearing-impaired and flipped windows for emergencies. KFHMB brand and key messaging will be able to reach some 500,000 commuters per month.
