Kuala Lumpur, 10 November 2008 - Kuwait Finance House (Malaysia) Berhad (KFHMB) has unveiled its newest branch located at Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang. This is the second branch in the State of Selangor and theeh sixth in KFHMB's branch network in Malaysia. KFHMB has opened three branches this year as part of a phased roll-out of its Retail & Consumer Banking programme.
In commemorating the Soft Opening of the new branch, Dato' K Salman Younis, Managing Director of KFHMB commented, "We anticipate good potential to expand our business in Klang which has a population of about a million. Bandar Bukit Tinggi is an integrated and modern township which is experiencing increased business activities and will become the new commercial hub for Klang."
Dato' Salman further stressed on the abundant opportunities in Bandar Bukit Tinggi, a fairly mature and integrated modern township and experiencing increased business activities. With more than 90% of the area already developed, there are over 13,000 residential properties in the township and close by is Klang North Port, one of the busiest seaports in the world and a number of townships including Bandar Botanic, Glenmarie Cove, Bandar Puteri Klang and Bayuemas.
The new branch offers a full range of Islamic banking products and services including deposits and investment accounts as well as home and personal financing. The branch also houses a dedicated Priority Banking centre to tap the mass affluent market and high net-worth individuals who seek steady rate of return on their investments.
Dato' Salman also highlighted the commitment of the Bank and its parent company, Kuwait Finance House K.S.C. (KFH) in Malaysia alongside the country's aspiration to become an international Islamic financial hub.
