Kuwait City, 15 March 2010 - Minister of Finance, Kuwait H.E. Mr Mostafa Al-Shamali officiated the 51st branch of Kuwait Finance House (KFH) at Al-Soor on 10 March, in line with the Bank's expansion plans in the country. The Minister praised Kuwait Finance House and said the Bank shows a good example of the Kuwaiti private sector, achieving progress in both the regional and global markets.
Meanwhile, KFH Chairman and Managing Director Mr Bader Al-Mukhaizeem, stated that the opening of the Al-Soor Branch highlights the local market expansion policy of KFH, despite the fact that 43% of KFH's 2009 profits derived from markets overseas. Mr Al-Mukhaizeem had earlier informed the Bank would continue to expand into international markets including the United States, Canada and China, demonstrating the track record and international investment experience of KFH. He added that the new Branch, which is located in the centre of the financial and commercial business district, will reinforce the presence of KFH in Kuwait City.
